Samford University Bulldog Marching Band

ParadeshotThe marching band, quickly becoming known for its high-powered approach, is very active in supporting our athletic teams and entertaining crowds at football games and marching band exhibitions. The band is made up of students representing most of the academic disciplines on campus. Student leadership is a very important component of the band and a key ingredient to its success over the past years. The marching band, beyond its role at athletic events, strives to be a positive influence socially and spiritually on its members. Fast-paced rehearsals insure a minimum amount of time away from classes and studies. The band meets three times a week and members are awarded one hour of academic credit, which can count for one physical education credit as well.

In the spring, the marching band moves indoors to become the Samford University Basketball Pep Band. This group plays at men's and women's home basketball games during the regular term. This is great fun for all involved and is appreciated by athletes and fans alike.

Scholarships are available for all members participating in the Bulldog Marching Band.
