Joining the Samford University Bands
All music majors at Samford University automatically apply for band scholarship funds with their audition for the School of Performing Arts. Scholarship auditions for the School of Performing Arts will be February 8-9, 2008 and February 29-March 1, 2008. For more information, please contact Arts recruiter Rachel Lim (arts@samford.edu).
All non-music majors interested in participating in the Samford University Bands are requested to schedule an audition with Director of Bands, Dr. Jim Smisek. The audition should include two short prepared pieces of contrasting musical styles, scales and sight reading. Color Guard Auditions will be held at Samford University on Saturday, April 5th from 11:30 until 4:30 p.m. For more information, please contact Guard co-captains Zandra Warren (zjwarren@samford.edu) and Charissa Dopson (cldopson@samford.edu).
